"What you would expect from the Shirley Temple of microwaves" 2010-02-08

This microwave is adorable, and fits very well in a small space. And it will do the job. Just keep in mind the one con: it takes about twice as long a a "regular" microwave to do the job.

"iWaveCube Microwave Oven" 2010-02-06

At maximum power level of 600 watts, the iWaveCube is nothing to brag about in terms of performance. Nevertheless the product is well constructed, works quietly and well. I purchased the iWaveCube primarily for its compact size - it takes less than a square foot of counter top space. If size and portability is a strong requirement then this product is highly recommended. As the product's description states, it is meant for desk/counter top use, not from higher shelf space - the controls and display are on top making them inaccessable from an elevated position. There are stronger microwaves on the market for cheaper price but not this small. It is sufficiently powerful to (re-)heat cups, bowls and small plates of food. The absence of a turntable does not deter from its usefulness.

"Great Little Item!" 2010-02-01

Counterspace is very precious in my kitchen so I just love this little cutie. Works like a charm on popcorn to baked potatoes. If you're used to a standard size microwave, you'll need to practice a little with this one until you perfect the timing for your different items. True, it may take longer for some things, but only seconds/minutes, depending. I'm very happy with this purchase. It's become quite a conversation piece, too. Everybody asks "What's That?"

Also, I want to extend my thanks to reviewer mmcgown for the great tip on how to easily remove the protective plastic film. He suggested: "turn unit over and peel from bottom, up the side and then across top." Worked great! It seems if you start peeling from the top you might encounter some frustration.

"I love it" 2010-01-31

The maker claims that this is the world's smallest microwave. I've never seen a smaller one, so I'll take their word for it. :) Not only is this small, but it's also very quiet (compared to my regular size GE microwave). Its small size is perfect for my office, so that's where I'm keeping it right now. It also looks nice (looks like a safe actually) so it can easily blend in in an office environment.

The tray doesn't rotate though (understandable, considering its small size), so that might require you to manually move the food halfway though the cooking process to avoid cold spots. Additionally, the controls are at the top, which means that you can't put it too high (like on top of a regular size fridge) as you would be unable to properly operate it. It's light, so you can move it around very easily.

For your reference, it can heat up a large mug with cold water in 4-5 minutes.

Overall I think that it's a very handy device, and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
